Summer time is not rest time at ESEM. The end of the European football season in May is the start of a very busy period for us and this summer wasn’t any different.

In June we worked with the Under-21 national team of Azerbaijan for their training camp in Denmark and organised the stay of Malta’s Under-21 squad in Latvia for their important European qualifier. We also worked with our colleagues from Bayern Tours for Bayern Munich’s All Stars charity match at Manchester United, when many famous former players of both clubs met at Old Trafford.

The start of the European club competitions in July brought us Champions League and Europa League qualifying match projects in Gibraltar, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, as well as working with our colleagues at Liga Travel for the visit of VfL Wolfsburg to London for the Emirates Cup.

This was followed by the first of our summer training camps, when we took Ukrainian Champions and Cup winners FC Dynamo Kiev to Austria, where we also organised six friendly matches during their two-week stay.

At the end of July we welcome Getafe CF to England for their training camp, including the organisation of four friendly matches against Football League clubs.
